Measure of Success
Sometimes it's challenging to feel good about working out and eating right. Other people have such dramatic progress. I worked out 5 days this week:
- Upper Body Weight Training
- HIIT Cardio (20 minutes high intensity interval training with a 5 minute warm up and 5 minute cool down)
- Lower Body Weight Training
- HIIT Cardio plus 7ish miles of target-rate cardio on the upright cycle
- Upper Body Weight Training followed by HIIT Cardio
The result is I gained 1.5 pounds. But I know I've gotten stronger, and my scale measures body-fat percentage, and it's the lowest I've seen yet. I'm also in that particularly feminine phase of the moon, and I fully expect that next week, I'll be a little lighter because I will no longer be retaining so much water and other assorted materials.
But I'm just so goal oriented. It's getting harder and harder to lose weight. I know I'm eating right, or at least I think I am. According to HMM, the thing to do is join Sparkpeople.com.
So I've done it. We'll see if it is a system I can work with. Click Here for my Sparkpeople page
